Light as One: India’s Festival of Lights and the Collective Path to Net Zero

Every Diwali, homes across India are lit with diyas, each flame small on its own but powerful when joined with millions of others. This is the spirit of Light as One, a reminder that lasting change is born when individual efforts converge into collective action. For Gentari, this symbolism goes beyond a festival. It mirrors the clean energy transition itself. A single solar panel, one charging station, or one hydrogen project is a light. But when these lights connect across technologies, geographies, industries, and communities, they create the scale of transformation the world needs.

Integration: The Key to Energy Transformation

India has committed to net zero by 2070 and energy independence by 2047. Achieving this requires more than technology; it demands integration of all the stakeholders of the ecosystem, resources, and ideas. Today, the energy ecosystem is often viewed in silos: renewable electricity, green hydrogen, and mobility. But to achieve scale, these must converge. At Gentari, our integrated approach reflects this reality. By aligning renewables, hydrogen, and green mobility under one umbrella, we can deliver solutions that are not just clean, but also reliable and practical for industries and citizens alike. This is what “Light as One” means in action: uniting diverse forces to create impact at scale.

Partnerships: Multiplying Impact

One lamp light another; partnerships multiply impact in the same way. Gentari’s journey in India has been shaped by this belief. With AM Green, we are powering large-scale green ammonia projects that will place India at the forefront of the global hydrogen economy. Through Gentari Go, we are enabling EV users to access over 3,000 charging points by partnering with multiple charge point operators and even creating roaming tie-ups with players like Shell. With AWS, we are advancing renewable energy capacity through an 80 MW wind power purchase agreement in Tamil Nadu, generating clean power to support digital infrastructure. These partnerships demonstrate that collaboration across industries and borders is the root of meaningful decarbonisation.

Collective Forces at Work

Integration at Gentari is not only about our business lines. It is about teams across India and the world working as one Gentari, capital, technology, and talent aligned globally to accelerate progress, ideas co-created with policymakers, innovators, and customers to ensure solutions meet real needs, and communities included in the transition because growth must light lives, not just industries. This broader ecosystem approach is what makes the clean energy shift sustainable in every sense.

India’s Role in the Global Transition

India has already crossed 250 GW of non-fossil fuel capacity and is targeting 500 GW by 2030. The world looks to India not only because it is the third-largest energy consumer, but because it has shown what is possible when scale meets ambition. Yet recent floods, heatwaves, and erratic weather underline why speed matters. Climate challenges affect farmers, families, and cities alike, showing that the path to net zero cannot be fragmented, but must be powered by shared intent.

Light as One

As Gentari celebrates its first Diwali as an integrated entity in India, Light as One is more than a campaign. It is an invitation — to governments, businesses, innovators, and communities — to see themselves as part of one shared flame. Each partnership signed, each charging point added, each green molecule produced brings us closer to a brighter, more sustainable future. The transition to clean energy is not the work of one company or one country. It is the work of many, becoming one. This Diwali, as millions of diyas shine across India, let us carry forward their message. Together, we can light the path to a decarbonised tomorrow.
